Young Marist Volunteers (YMVs) are a dynamic and enthusiastic group of young adults who respond to the call of St. Marcellin Champagnat to make ‘Jesus Christ known and loved’! YMVs are post-school young adults (18-25 years old) who have opted to volunteer their time in service of the Church and the wider community.

YMVs support Marist Youth Ministry (MYM) events, as well as a variety of social outreach opportunities with Not For Profit organisations supported by MYM.

MYM encourages and supports YMVs on their faith journey through local formation opportunities such as Monthly Exchange nights, Young Adult Retreats pub forums, Taize Evenings, Mass and Internship programs.

Please note: Training in child safeguarding and safety protocols is given by MYM staff on an annual basis. All YMVs must have a current Working with Children Check.

For more information about volunteering, please contact the MYM Regional Coordinator in your city by clicking on ‘Contact Us’.
