Our Marist Charism calls us to engage in a community where we gather, pray, connect and go out on mission. We run multiple events nationally where young people from across capital cities come together to do just that.
YOUNG ADULTS EVENTS
Exchange creates a space to engage young people, inviting them to an experience of home where they engage in an authentic encounter with Christ. Gathered around the same table, young people are offered hospitality, prayer, sharing and accompaniment as they are empowered to be agents of change in the world.
Exchange is held in major cities around Australia. In 2014, Exchange will be in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth.
MASS + DINNER
Celebrating Eucharist gives us an opportunity to be nourished by Jesus' Word and Body. As Marists are called to be in communion with the Lord, Mary and each other so that we may be strengthened to go out and be witnesses of the Gospel. Once a month Eucharist is celebrated in a Parish, followed by a shared meal together at one of our Marist Communities. Other forms of worship such as Taize prayer and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament help us to deepen our encounter with Jesus.
YOUNG MARIST RETREATS
Young Marist Retreats are conducted annually. These retreats allow the chance for young adults to get away from our busy lives of work and study and to spend time together enjoying companionship, prayer and reflection. Regular retreats include the Marist Pruning Retreat at the Hermitage, Mittagong and the Young Marists Formation Weekend. Check out the calendar for upcoming retreats or weekends.
The Pruning Retreat is a National Marist Youth Ministry initiative. This is an invitation to a contemplative one-week retreat experience at The Hermitage, in Mittagong, where young people from across Australia are called to discover the presence of God in the silence of the vineyards.
REMAR is a school-based Marist youth ministry which operates in Catholic schools in a number of countries. In Australia it is coordinated out of the Marist Centres in Melbourne & Brisbane, offering students in Years 10, 11 and 12 an inspiring and engaging way to live out gospel values.

- Personal development and leadership formation
